About us

Short-term training. Long-term careers.

MD Technical School delivers short-term, high-impact training that launches careers in information technology and cybersecurity — in person, live online and on-site for employers.

What we do

Hands-on training that gets people hired

We teach the skills and certifications employers actually hire for — Security+, SecurityX, C|EH, CCNA and more — through hands-on labs and real-world scenarios rather than lectures alone.

Our certifications stack: start with help desk or cybersecurity fundamentals, then build toward SOC analysis, ethical hacking, network engineering or government compliance, one credential at a time.

We’re proudly military-friendly. We accept the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, VR&E and WIOA funding, attend TAP briefings and on-base career events, and help veterans turn their service into a civilian career.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do I need experience to start?
No. Courses like Helpdesk Specialist, Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Secure Computer User are built for beginners. Each course page lists its recommended background, and our Career Pathways show you where to start.
Are classes online or in person?
Most courses run in person at our Virginia locations or live online with an instructor — the same labs and the same instructors either way. Each course page shows its format.
How long does a course take?
Most certification courses run 3–5 days (about 20–45 hours). Our career programs, Cybersecurity I and II, are 200+ hours. New classes start frequently — each course page shows upcoming start dates.
Do you help with jobs after I finish?
Yes. Career support includes resume building, mock interviews, one-on-one mentorship and a lifetime alumni network.
Do courses include the certification exam?
Our certification courses prepare you for the named exam and include built-in practice exams that mirror the real thing. Ask our Enrollment Team about exam vouchers for your course.
